제주 토종 먹보리,
토종 씨앗

현재 제주도에는 토종 종자에 대한 인증제도가 

없습니다. 민간에서 자손들을 통해 씨앗을 이어 오고 

있었고 최근 민간 단체에서 이 씨앗들을 정리, 보존, 

활성화 노력을 하고 있습니다. 해당지역에서 해를 

거듭해 재배되어 자가 채종 된 종자는 종자 회사에 

로열티를 제공하지 않는 것 이외에도 급격한 기후 

변화에 멸종하지 않고 안정적인 먹거리를 제공할 수 

있다는 부분과 생명종 다양성에 기여한다 것에도 의미가 있습니다. 하지만, 개량된 종자에 비해 수확량은 50%

까지 떨어져 이 흑보리를 재배하는 농가는 점점 

사라지고 있다고 합니다.


mukk은 고부가가치 가공품을 제작하여 많은 토종 

흑보리를 수매할 수 있는 환경을 만들어 토종 흑보리 

농가가 많이 확장되기를 바라고 있습니다. 

Currently, Jeju Island does not have a certification system for native seeds. Seeds have been passed down through offspring in the private sector, and private organizations have recently been working to organize, preserve, and revitalize them.
In addition to not providing royalties to seed companies, seeds grown year after year in the region can provide stable food without going extinct due to rapid climate change and are also meaningful in contributing to species diversity.
However, compared to the improved seeds, the yield has dropped by 50%, and the farmers who grow this black barley are gradually disappearing.




Mukk hopes to expand its native black barley farmers by creating high-value-added processed products to create an environment where many native black barley can be purchased.
